Neurosciences cognitives et idéaux sociaux

Abstract

L’autorité acquise par les neurosciences cognitives repose sur la transfiguration, dans des langages scientifiques, d’idéaux traditionnels de régularité du comportement, nés au XVIIIe siècle et se poursuivant du behaviorisme vers 1900 jusqu’aux neurosciences cognitives de la fin du XXe siècle, puis sont infléchis par des idéaux de changement personnel et d’autonomie individuelle qui se sont diffusés à partir du dernier tiers du XXe siècle.

Authority gained by cognitive neuroscience relies on transfiguration, in scientific language, of traditional ideals of behavior regularity, born during 18th century and going on from behaviorism around 1900 until cognitive neuroscience at the end of the 20th century, then modifying by ideals of personal change and individual autonomy which have spread from last third of 20th century.
